Management Assistant (m/f)

Taipei, Taiwan

Our office in Taipei is looking for a fun and energetic management assistant to support the Managing Director with commercial, project and secretarial tasks.

What will you do?

  • Support the Managing Director in commercial- and secretarial tasks.
  • Support in project administration: time and budget tracking and progress reporting
  • Manage the office facilities: studio, IT and cloud data, tools and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of all basic office supplies and support the team with tasks such as purchases, logistics and travel and meeting preparations.
  • Take over duties of Finance Manager during absence

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has an outgoing personality and is solution minded, with a hands-on working attitude. Is able to interact professionally and effectively with diverse group of people.
  • Has organizational skills and likes to take responsibility, to organize the workplace and takes initiatives to further improve.
  • Is precise, orderly and business minded
  • Skilled with office software, IT and O365
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin communication

Mechanical Engineer

Taipei, Taiwan

Our office in Taipei is looking for an all-round mechanical engineer. You will develop the mechanical parts of the products we develop for our customers.

Your are directly involved in:

  • Mechanical Design, building POC’s and testing
  • Detailed engineering of plastic parts ready for tooling
  • Creating 2D drawings, including tolerances, Bill of material and assembly guidelines
  • Creo 3D modelling, including advanced surfaces and assemblies
  • Work closely together with industrial designers and production engineers on mechanical product development
  • Report to the team leader Engineering

Your profile:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree or Master in Mechanical Engineering
  • Has 4+ years experience in product development and mechanical engineering
  • Is creative, innovative and solution minded
  • Is experienced with Pro/E including surfacing, assemblies
  • Has knowledge about materials and production technologies for low volume production of consumer electronics, medical products, wearables and industrial products
  • has hands-on working attitude, is enthusiastic and motivated
  • is comfortable with reading and basic writing English

UX / Design Internship

Amsterdam, NL

At Pilotfish, we support our customers by developing small and fragile conceptual ideas into mass-produced products. As a designer, your role will be to act as the creative lead for a project, by incubating ideas, developing a design vision and shaping the products from the ground up. In the later phases of the product development, you will support our technical ID team, as well as our mechanical engineering team by aligning the product development with the original design vision.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Developing and safeguarding the design vision throughout the entire product development lifecycle (visuals, UX and ID)
  • Leading client workshops for ideation and product definition
  • Developing and presenting product visuals to communicate concepts
  • Shaping products in sketch, physical mock-ups, and CAD
  • Conduct user research & user interviews to validate product concepts
  • Identifying technical risks and developing proof of concepts to mitigate them

Your profile:

  • First and foremost, we are looking for doers. Taking initiative and responsibility must be in your DNA.
  • Starting with an abstract idea to craft concepts and shape products is your absolute comfort zone
  • Profound knowledge of the creative product development process
  • A strong 3D skillset
  • Diploma or master’s degree in a design field
  • Excellent communication skills in English
